Our Vision

LOVE … One God. All People. One Church.

“Love One God, Love All People.  We are One Church for All People.”

One Church exists to love ONE God relentlessly and ALL people equally so TOGETHER we will see our lives and our city changed forever.

Five Core Values that drive our Vision:

It is our complete ambition to passionately seek and glorify God in all we do.  We relentlessly and unashamedly will pursue Him as we worship, pray and understand his Word.  We seek the applause of One.

We are the church for the “One more”.  It is our goal to help fill up Heaven knowing that time is running out.  We know that God wants all 7 Billion people to come to a saving relationship with Jesus and we urgently, relevantly and creatively want to get the word out, especially among the 540,000 people that live in our metro area.

Faith requires stepping out in action and obedience when God is leading us even when it might be uncomfortable, unpopular or risky.  We know that God desires complete obedience and we are ready to risk and surrender everything to Love One God and Love All People.

You can belong here before you believe.  Loving All People means we will be a church that accepts everyone and be a place that reflects the overall diversity of our community.  We are willing to understand, befriend, forgive and include All people so that our church looks like Heaven.  If we can come together as ONE Church, united under Christ, our lives and our city will be transformed.

We will love you where you’re at and love you enough not to leave you there.  It’s time to change our city and our world, but it’s got to start with me!  At One Church we will always ask you, our church and our community; “What’s your Next Step?”  Jesus promised us a full and abundant life that can only be found if we are growing and developing into his image.

“There is One body and One Spirit, just as you were called to One hope when you were called; One Lord, One faith, One baptism; One God and Father of ALL(people), who is over ALL and through ALL and in ALL.”                                                                                      Ephesians 4:4-6

“I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen.  I must bring them also.  They too will listen to my voice and there shall be ONE Flock and ONE Shepherd.”                                 John 10:16

“(God) who wants ALL men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.  For there is ONE God and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave  himself as a ransom for ALL men”                                                                                              1 Timothy 2:4-6

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be ONE as we are ONE.  I in them and you in me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know…”        John 17:22-23

“So in Christ Jesus you are ALL children of God through faith, for ALL of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus.      Galatians 3:26-28

To unbuckle the myth of the Bible Belt

In Jackson metro area, only 17% Say they attend church regularly.diverse pray and bible study

On any given Sunday, then, 448,200 men, women and children in the Jackson metro stay home and therefore are not connected to the Gospel or to a local church.

To establish an ethnic and economically diverse church for the sake of the Gospel

Nationally, only 12.7% of churches are racially diverse

In Mississippi, that percentage is much, much less

An increasingly diverse society no longer finds credible our message as preached from segregated pulpits and pews
